The Family

IMG_6627This is our family.  We make memories together. We laugh. Love. Play. Hope, dream & pray together. We enjoy cold rainy days snuggled on the couch in PJs. The sun, and beautiful summer nights in the yard running through the sprinklers. Walks to our beloved old town for coffee and frozen yogurt with our dog and friends. We try to be green, organic & frugle as much as possible. We love Jesus and want to teach our children to be good stewards of all we have and how we can serve Him!

There’s the Papa , as we call him… Our Hero. Our Provider. The play gym. He’s smart, and funny. He is going to school to be a Police Man, and we couldn’t be more proud of him following his dreams. He comes home to rough house and play. And we love him for it! He’s creative and strong. He protects us and our country. He changes the oil in our cars, and trims the trees. He  makes a mean quesadilla and can shoot any gun that comes his way. He is often gone for a weeks at a time training with the Army, but when he is home we are more then happy to spend the day together!!!

Silas Ethan the Crazy. His name means Man of the Forest – Seeker of Wisdom. Funny how you pick a name for someone  you have never met, and how somehow they fit their name perfectly! He is an outside boy 100%!!! And he loves to learn and enjoys his preschool! He’s our sweet, active, fun-loving and smart little man. He loves to count, and draw, anything Jake Pirate, sing and dance. He gives us a run for our money from sun up to sun down. I’m not sure I could have asked for a more loving first-born.

IMG_4543 IMG_4671Isaac Louis the Sweet Chubbers. His name means, To Laugh- Famous Warrior.  He is wild and crazy. Loves mischief and always has a smile on his face. He loves to eat, and bug his bother. He is the sweetest brother to his little sister Willow.

Willow Mae joined our family in 2013. She is a sweet girly addition on a loud, dirty, man house. We are all smitten with her and adore this little lady!

And then there is me. The Mama. I take care of our little family on the home front. I clean the floors, wash the diapers, cook the dinners. Kiss my boys sweet cheeks. Dress Willow up with headbands. Play in the yard, dance in the rain. Dig in the dirt, play on the floor. Wipe tears and butts.  I’m loving {almost} every minuet of these sweet days with my boys and new little lady. This is where I keep my treasured memories. Funny stories. and Precious pictures I capture.

And this is our story. John Brent (AKA Brock) and I met at Calvary Church when Brock was checking out the College group in 2006. We started dating that summer in June. Got engaged December 25th, 2006. Married June 24th, 2007. After working for Audi, Mission Viejo for a few years, Brock joined the Army National Guard in the fall of 2008. We moved from Aliso Viejo, California, to Santa Ana.  April 2009 he left for boot camp and returned in August. September 2009 we found out that we were expecting a little Buoniconti!…. and that Brock would be deployed to Afghanistan. We moved into a little cozy duplex in Old Towne Orange! Brock left in January 2010 to finish his training, and for Afghanistan in May. On June 8th, 2010 we welcomed, from different sides of the world via Skype, Silas Ethan Buoniconti! We moved into our new Craftsman Bungalow in our beloved Old Town in November 2010. My brother Dan, also lives with us in our garage! Brock come home to meet Silas for the first time, on December 23rd, 2010! We welcomed him home for good in March 2011! April surprised us with news of another little one on the way. On January 8th, 2012, we got to welcome together Isaac Louis Buoniconti! Willow Mae joined our family December 18th, 2013!

We thank God for His provision in our lives. He has so carefully planned every facet of our story, and I thank Him for His amazing plan. Every day, I tell Silas, and now both boys, no matter what God has in store next for our lives, His way is Perfect. His plan is infinitely  greater than ours.
